6286 fare dodgers fined in public transport in August

Statistical data of "Rīgas satiksme" about ticket inspections in public transport (buses, trolleybuses, trams) in August 2014:

Number of fare dodgers fines in public transport:
Buses	2636
Trolleybuses	1777
Trams	1873
Total:	6286
including:
Fine receipts	4495
Fine bills	1791

It is by 967 fare dodgers less than in July 2014, when 5319 passengers were fined for fare dodging in public transport.

Number of ticket inspections in public transport:
Buses	9081
Trolleybuses	6426
Trams	3857
Total:	19364

Just to compare – there were 17114 ticket inspections in July 2014, which is by 2250 less than in August 2014.

In August 2014, the maximum number of fare dodgers (516) was fined on tram route No. 6, but the minimum number (2) on bus route No. 34.
